My name is Nicholas Ugoalah. As a successful athlete, wrestling coach and professional speaker, I truly understand the meaning of ‘motivation’. And as a world-class wrestler and mma trainer, I know superior quality when I see it. And there is no other trainer who exemplifies superior quality more than Roy Duquette.
I have known Roy for nearly a decade. As a long-time member of Spartacus Athletic on Commercial Drive, I have watched Roy evolve from a gifted young personal trainer to becoming one of the most respected fitness authorities in Vancouver.
As a trainer, he displays patience, attentiveness, and an honest desire to help all those around him. Roy is a true professional respected and loved by his clients, he has mastered the fine balance of effort and results. As everyone who knows him will agree, no trainer is more dedicated to his clients than Roy is.
To me, what’s most impressive about Roy is his ability to inspire others to become better at anything they do. Time and time again, I have witnessed several of his personal training clients practically transform overnight. The “secret” to his success is his uncanny ability to engage and connect to people regardless of their experiences, background or status.
He exemplifies the truest meaning of ‘coach’ better than anyone I know. The fact that he has already helped to produce a world-champion athlete speaks volumes not only about his abilities as a trainer but also as a role model.
He shines as a motivator by meticulously planning out personalized strategies based on his clients’ specific goals and individual needs. Roy not only gets people excited about life, he infuses his clients with supreme confidence through his unique approach to goal setting and lifestyle management. Whether it’s building physiques, preparing athletes to win, or rehabilitating chronic injuries, one thing’s for sure; his clients get results.
The amount of knowledge that Roy has accumulated in his lifetime is nothing short of phenomenal. Roy truly stands out from the crowd. I have absolute trust and respect for Roy as a trainer and coach.
